There were several places for table tennis players like me to practice in my primary school. There was one specific school program for table tennis as well. I, then, participated in it and I quickly fell in love with it. When classes were over, I rushed out outside of the school building with a paddle and a ball and played with my classmates until the next class started.
I started my career as a table tennis player when I was 7 years old. I also had the opportunity to get trained for table tennis by professionals for over 4 years. Unfortunately, after entering middle school, I had to quit playing because of the tremendous amount of academic pressure. Thanks to all the work I had put into it, although I quit playing table tennis for three years, I could still manage to remember most of the basic movements, such as the forehand and backhand strokes.
After I came to the U.S. to study as an international student, I had the honor to become the captain of my school's table tennis team. I assisted the two head coaches there, both of them were professional players before, to guide our teammates on gestures, movements, techniques, etc.
